Sylvain’s relationship with Thailand began about fifteen years ago, initially as a tourist; and a job opportunity brought him to settle there almost twelve years ago.
He spent almost five rich and varied years working for a French-speaking agency specializing in stays within the Khao Sok National Park.
He then successfully managed a small guesthouse in Hua Hin with his now-wife for two years.
Building on this initial foray into the hospitality industry, they were given the opportunity to take over a small resort in Khanom. However, the Covid-19 pandemic, which struck a few months into this new chapter, severely disrupted their plans.
Now residing in Khao Lak, where he can indulge in his passion for surfing among other activities, Sylvain also regularly practices Thai boxing: he is the athlete of the team, and it is essential for his balance.
